To: Programs seeking support from Quad A for Kids

Quad A for Kids primarily provides our own after-school programming for children in the city of Rochester.

We make mini-grants to programs we feel align with our general approach and offer opportunities for partnership with our school program. We like to work with youth from elementary school to graduation in a variety of forms. The goal is seeing them graduate. Our in-school program goals are best achieved working within the structure of the Rochester City School District (RCSD), and partnering with community organizations that complement our programming.

Mini-grants not to exceed $5,000 per year for programs outside our schools will be granted once per school year.

We do not fund capital programs, endowment campaigns or non-501(c) (3) programs unless affiliated with our schools, #4, #16, #34.

Application Requirements:
Proof of Insurance
Activities must occur after school hours, on the weekend or in summer
Activities must benefit under-privileged youth ages 5 – 15 years
Activities must have an academic component and/or address youth assets or skill building
Activities must have a role model or mentor component

Quad A for Kids processes applications three times per year. The submission deadlines are April 1, July 1 and December 1.   We review applications internally during the month; the Board of Trustees makes final funding decisions the following month.   The soonest an application can be paid is six weeks after the submission dates. Mini-grants are typically in the $2K to $5K range and are granted once per year to the same organization.
